A Day in the Life of a New Hire(Hirasaki)

6:30 AM

Waking Up

My day starts at 6:30 AM when I get out of bed.  After a quick shower, I make breakfast, usually opting for pizza toast.  I leave my apartment around 8:00 AM to catch the train.
8:40 AM

Arriving at Work

I arrive at the office about ten minutes before my start time of 8:50 AM.  I prepare for my work, check the schedule for meetings, and go through emails.
8:50 AM

Work Begins

My current role is to help build a configuration management system for the project.
I update the configuration management guidelines and operational manuals with decisions made during meetings.
I further contribute by establishing servers tasked with source code management and crafting supportive software tools.
12:00 PM

Lunch Break

The workplace offers multiple dining options on the first two floors, ranging from fast food to convenience stores.
I buy whatever I feel like eating that day.
12:45 PM

Work Resumes

I continue with the morning's tasks.
New tasks might also pop up during the day.
I must carefully manage the project's schedule, tasks, and deadlines to ensure smooth progress.
5:20 PM

End of Workday

I report the progress of today’s tasks and the work plans for tomorrow and the week.
It’s also a time to discuss any current issues with my supervisor.
Although there are days I work overtime, it is rare to work more than an hour.
6:00 PM

Returning Home

Back at home, I wrap up household duties and have dinner, then I dedicate time to my hobbies.
I might play games, read, or spend time diving into interesting source code into the night.
