Technical Skills at the Time of Joining the Company
My interest in web development sparked my desire to become a system engineer, which led me to enroll in a community college.
Although programming was initially not my strong suit, I focused on learning the basics and gradually deepened my understanding.
Through consistent effort, I eventually passed the Fundamental Information Technology Engineer Examination(FE).
Concerns When the First Project was Assigned
When I was assigned to my first project, I felt a sense of uncertainty about whether I could fulfill the responsibilities and communicate my thoughts effectively.
Fortunately, I joined the project with a senior member, which provided great reassurance.
I was encouraged to ask questions freely and received consistent support from the team.
My senior colleagues thoughtfully guided me through challenges, and others on the team patiently helped until I fully understood.
Thanks to this supportive environment, my concerns gradually turned into confidence.
Current Job Responsibilities
I am currently involved in developing applications that combine the game engine Unity with BIM(Building Information Modeling).
In addition to programming, I needed to learn many new areas such as architectural concepts and how to handle 3D data, which made the work challenging at first.
However, I have been fortunate to work in an environment where senior colleagues are always willing to provide kind and thorough guidance.
As I continued learning through hands-on experience, I gradually became more comfortable with the work.
Although I had no prior experience in this field, it has given me valuable learning opportunities and a strong sense of fulfillment.
Changes Since Joining the Company
At first, I held back from speaking up because I was surrounded by people with more experience.
However, as I gained knowledge and practical skills through work, I began to realize that my ideas could offer a fresh perspective to the team.
This realization gave me the confidence to express myself more openly.
I’ve also learned to ask questions until I truly understand, and as a result, I’ve come to approach my work with a more proactive mindset.
Goals After One Year at the Company
My current goal is to turn the experiences I’ve gained so far into my strengths and expand the range of work I can take on.
Since my role often requires me to communicate my thoughts, I also aim to improve my ability to convey information clearly and accurately.
Misunderstandings can occur depending on how something is communicated, so I hope to continue developing strong and thoughtful communication skills.
